An apparatus and a method for editing a program of an image display device having a storing function are provided to classify a newly stored image or a previously stored image according to frames, add contents for which a user wishes according to the frames, and store the added image. A key input unit(105) allows a user to input a user request command. An HDD(Hard Disc Drive)(107) stores an image for which a user wishes. An information input unit(109) allows the user to input a frame-classified comment of the image to be stored in the HDD(107). A memory(108) stores the comment inputted through the information input unit(109). A control unit(106) outputs a corresponding control command according to the user request command inputted through the key input unit(105), and controls a display unit(104) to display a corresponding image and comment according to a condition inputted by the user. An image signal processing unit(103) processes a moving picture, a still picture, detailed information of the corresponding image, and the comment according to a control signal of the control unit(106) to be displayed on a certain region of the display unit(104).
