A method for offering a short-term insurance service to a proxy driver using a mobile terminal and a call center is provided to effectively pay a premium and receive insurance benefit simultaneously with insurance subscription by enabling the proxy driver to directly subscribe for proxy driver insurance after directly confirming an insurance subscription screen received from a web server connected through the mobile terminal. A proxy driver insurance server authenticates registration information of the mobile terminal(S105). A user inputs subscription information needed for the proxy driver insurance through the mobile terminal(S106). The premium is calculated based on a record and driving time of the user(S108). The proxy driver insurance server is connected to a charging/transfer server, compares charged balance of the charged/transfer server with the premium based on the calculated premium, and databases an insurance policy number, a vehicle license number, a subscription term, and balance information if the charged balance is bigger than the premium(S113). If the user charges the premium to settle the premium, an amount of money is charged through the mobile terminal. |
