A flexible wire for a pipe scale removing unit is provided to easily perform a work and shorten the work time by easily inserting the flexible wire into a pipe when the pipe scale is removed. A flexible wire for a pipe scale removing unit is rotated by the rotation of a motor provided in the pipe scale removing unit. The flexible wire includes a tip end portion(130) and a main wire portion(110). The tip end portion is formed in the pipe insertion direction. The main wire portion extends from the tip end portion. The tip end portion has a cross-section smaller than that of the main wire portion. The length of the tip end portion is larger than 5 centimeters and smaller than 20 centimeters.
