A method and a system for offering a coupon using public transportation are provided to enable a member shop to offer diverse services to customers and increase profit by automatically registering the coupon to an electronic payment tool of the customers using the public transportation. A manager(110) provides the coupon to a public transportation controller(120) passing a specific range based on the member shop(130) and provides an approval service when the provided coupon is used while issuing/managing the coupon requested from the member shop. The public transportation controller stores coupon information received from the manager, makes the customer recognize the coupon information by outputting the coupon information for each bus-stop, and recording the coupon information to the electronic payment tool(141) of the customer(14). Each member shop device(131) is installed to each member shop, requests approval to the manager after reading the coupon information from each electronic payment tool, and outputs an approval result received from the manager.
