GLASS INSPECTION APPARATUS FOR FLAT PANEL DISPLAY

A device for inspecting a glass substrate for a flat panel display is provided to prevent an accident generated by erroneous operation of an equipment when a holder moves to inspect a glass substrate in a macro scale. A light emitting unit(14) is installed at an area adjacent to a corner of one side of a holder(10) for irradiating laser beams of one or more channels. A light receiving unit(16) is installed at an area adjacent to a corner of the other side of the holder for outputting a sensing signal corresponding to light reception of the laser beams. A plurality of sensing blocks(18,20) are installed at corners of the holder which are opposite to the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit for reflecting the laser beams emitted from the light emitting unit to arrive at the light receiving unit after the laser beams move along at least three sides of the holder. A control circuit(30) generates an alarm sound when the sensing signal is inputted, and stops driving of the holder.
