A gabion dropping apparatus used to a tide embankment mattress work process is provided to reduce construction hour by finishing the dropping work in a short time according to the formation of the setting board where plural gabions are placed. A gabion dropping apparatus(1) used to a tide embankment mattress work process is composed of a setting board(10) shaped like a board body and formed with a size suitable for placing plural gabions dropped at the marine surface for constructing the tide embankment; a movable unit(20) combined at the center part of the lower end to move the setting board; a shock absorbing unit buffering/stopping the setting board moved to the sea side with a predetermined rake by the movable unit; and a fixing unit(40) fixing the setting board to prevent the setting board from being moved and to keep in parallel when placing the gabion.
