FIELD: mold securing equipment for securing of molds in presses for manufacture of plastic articles, said molds being free from guiding rods for connecting and sliding of molds. ^ SUBSTANCE: securing apparatus for plastic article manufacturing molds has pair of mold halves 3, 4 wherein power punch 11 is to be introduced. Apparatus comprises at least one tightening lever 6 for holding mold halves 3, 4 in closed position. Tightening lever is pivotally connected with its one end to movable mold half. Other end of tightening lever is made in the form of head of hammer which is engaged with two clamping grips 60, 61. Tightening lever 6 is pivotally joined to connecting rod which is positioned for rotation on pivot joint provided on carrier bed 14. Upon rotation, connecting rod sets tightening lever 6 along line corresponding to centroid of pressing force applied during molding operation. ^ EFFECT: simplified construction and light weight of securing apparatus, and also reduced processing time for manufacture of plastic articles. ^ 13 cl, 6 dwg |
