<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive control method capable of determining the optimum number of transmission antennas and spreading factor, which reduce interference caused by space division multiplexing and interference caused by code division multiplexing to be able to suppress the reduction of a transmission rate as much as possible, and to provide a radio communication device using this method. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission device inserts known symbol strings for identifying respective transmission antennas, from which signals are transmitted, to the signals corresponding to the transmission antennas and transmits the signals from the transmission antennas respectively, and a reception device extracts known symbol signals corresponding to respective transmission paths specified by reception antennas and transmission antennas, from reception signals received by respective reception antennas, by addition and and subtraction of respective known symbols of known symbol strings and measures the magnitude of interference between known symbol signals and the magnitude of interference received by each known symbol signal and transmits reception state information including them, and the transmission device determines the number of transmission antennas and a spreading factor for code spreading on the basis of the received reception state information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
