<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video display device and a video display system capable of suppressing the degradation of the display quality of a video, which is caused by the afterglow of phosphors having different luminous colors. <P>SOLUTION: A signal processing part 21 generates display video signals of R, G, B from a video signal, and a delay part 22 generates delayed display video signals of R, G, B in which the display video signal of R, G, B are respectively delayed by an amount of one field. An afterglow color correcting part 23 calculates a degree of afterglow to B in the display video signals of R, G, B before one field based on the delayed display video signals of R, G, B and generates the correction signal of B based on the calculated degree of afterglow, and when the correction signal of B is larger than the display video signal of B, the afterglow correcting part 23 selects the correction signal of B as the corrected display video signal of B, and when the correction signal of B is equal to or smaller than the display video signal of B, the part 23 selects the display video signal of B as the correction display video signal of B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
