<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dissipate the heat generated in a MPEG IC mounted on a MPEG board in a recording and reproducing apparatus having a DVD unit, a HDD unit, and a VTR unit and provided with the MPEG board for processing video and audio signals of both of the DVD unit and the HDD unit. <P>SOLUTION: A flat plane 20a of the MPEG IC20 mounted on the MPEG board 12 is allowed to abut on an abutting face 4b of a chassis 4 bottom face 4a, and heat generated in the MPEG IC20 is dissipated directly to the chassis 4 bottom face 4a. Also a fan 7 for cooling is arranged at a rear part of the recording and reproducing apparatus 1, the heat dissipated to the chassis 4 bottom face 4a is cooled by cooling air. Also, the DVD unit 30 affected by entry of dust is arranged at a front part and separated from the fan 7 for cooling, in the same way, the HDD unit is arranged being adjacent the fan 7 for cooling and being lower than it, cooling air is made weak appropriately, and entry of dust carried by the cooling air is reduced, thereby enhancing a dustproof effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
