SUPPORT FOR IMAGE RECORDING MATERIAL, ITS PRODUCTION METHOD, AND IMAGE RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for an image recording material which is excellent in adhesive properties between a stencil and a polymer covering layer and has high smoothness and excellent glossiness, a method for producing the support, the image recording material using the support.

SOLUTION: The support for the image recording material has the stencil and the polymer covering layers on both sides of the stencil. After the image recording side surface is soft calender-treated to contact a roll of surface temperature of 200-350°C, the polymer covering layers are formed on both sides of the stencil which is subjected to corona discharge treatment under the conditions of 15-150 W/m2/min watt density.
