PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of preventing communication disconnection by appropriately performing hand-off even though sudden attenuation of communication quality occurs during communication. SOLUTION: The communication terminal device is provided with a storing means for storing schedule information for managing the receiving frequency of a pilot signal received from a plurality of base stations, a receiving means for respectively receiving pilot signals from a communication base station in communication and peripheral base stations located in the vicinity of the communication base station on the basis of the schedule, and a control means for separating candidate base stations by selecting the peripheral base stations as a hand-off destination candidate from base stations outside a candidate being not a hand-off destination candidate on the basis of the communication quality of the pilot signals received by the receiving means and controlling the update of the schedule information so as to change a reception frequency for receiving the pilot signal of at least either the candidate base stations or the base stations outside a candidate on the basis of the number of the communication base stations.
