PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage generating unit, in which the mechanical strength necessary for piling up components in multistage can be secured, and to provide a high-voltage generating device formed by piling up these in multistages. SOLUTION: In the voltage-generating unit 50, a circuit constituting element group to form the respective stages of a Cockcroft-Walton circuit (multi-staged voltage doubler rectifying circuit) is formed in a unit structure, covered by insulators divided in plural, and input/output terminal groups 52A', 52C' and 52A to 52C for electrical connections with other adjacent unit bodies are installed at that surface part. Then, the surface part in which these input and output terminal groups are formed are made to be jointed faces S1, S2 to be jointed to a surface part (jointed face) of the other adjacent unit bodies, and in these input and output terminal groups, the terminal faces are installed so as to be aligned with the jointed faces S1, S2.
