PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain and a waterproofing method around the drain enhancing watertight durability with no danger of water leakage without depending on an adhesive at an overlap part of the drain and a waterproof sheet made of vinyl chloride resin and at a joint part to a drain pipe made of vinyl chloride resin. SOLUTION: Metal drains B1, B2 are covered on the whole surface with vinyl chloride resin after performing corrosion-proof treatment and primer treatment in sequence. In a waterproofing method around the drain, the waterproof sheet made of vinyl chloride resin is joined by welding to the upper face of each metal drain, and the periphery of the end of the waterproof sheet made of vinyl chloride resin and the metal drain are welded and sealed with a sealant made of vinyl chloride resin. Further, a lower end cylindrical part of the metal drain and the drain pipe made of vinyl chloride resin are welded and joined with the sealant made of vinyl chloride resin.
