PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carboxymethyl cellulose for use in the water-soluble liquid medicines for washing, preventing the adhesion of dirt, deodorizing or spreading sweet smell, which causes no needle crystal in the water-soluble liquid medicine, no change of the property such as the viscosity of the liquid medicine, and no stuffing at the opening of a container, and has none of the quality changes of a liquid medicine derived from the carboxymethyl cellulose. SOLUTION: The carboxymethyl cellulose for use in water-soluble liquid medicines has a degree of etherification of 1.18 or more and a haze value of less than 1.0. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
