PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily and exactly apply a pressure-sensitive adhesive film to the surface of an adherend while preventing the adherend from sliding during an application work irrespectively of the size of a film and of the curvature of the surface of the adherend. SOLUTION: The film applicator 10 comprises a base 32, a first support member 34 that is movably mounted on the base 32 and supports the inner surface of an adherend, a second support member 36 that is independent of the first support member and is movably mounted on the base 32, and supports the longitudinal ends of the adherend, and a positioning member 38 that is independent of the first and second support members and holds a pressure-sensitive adhesive film in a specified position in relation to the outer surface of the adherend supported by the first and second members. The first support members is provided with a pair of struts 48 that individually abut against a plurality of longitudinal places of the inner surface of the adherend. The second support member is provided with a pair of support plates 60 that individually support the longitudinal ends of the adherend.
