PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bianthracene derivative capable of serving as an excellent blue light-emitting material, and to provide an organic electroluminescent device and a display device using the bianthracene derivative. SOLUTION: The bianthracene derivative is represented by formula (1).
