PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing device capable of performing pressing with high accuracy without influencing the feeding of a plate to be worked by specific forming. SOLUTION: The pressing device includes a lower die set 3 which is disposed movably on a die installation table 5, an upper die set 2 which is disposed movably on an upper installation table 4, a position fixing and locking means 9 which is disposed freely liftably on the die installation table 5, and fixes the lower die set 3 by engaging therewith, a fixation releasing means 10 which is disposed on the upper die set 2 to face the position fixing and locking means 9 and releases the fixation of the lower die set 3 by the position fixing and locking means 9 by abutting on the position fixing and locking means 9 when the upper die set 2 progresses to the lower die set 3, positions the plate (t) to be worked by means of an in-die pilot pin 2p disposed in the upper die set 2, pinches the plate by pressure with a stripper 6 and starts working by the punch (p) and the die (d), and pilot pins 16p, 17p which are inserted into pilot holes t1 and move and position the plate (t) to be worked together with the lower die set 3 and the upper die set 2.
