The actuator has piezoactive units (4-8) interconnected in series connection between terminals. One set of the piezoactive units (4, 6, 8) provides an expansion movement while the other set of piezoactive units (5, 7) experience a contraction. The terminals are lead transverse to an effective direction e.g. longitudinal axis (9). The terminals stay in drive connection with a movement translation unit (22).
