A method and apparatus for detecting electromagnetic radiation source in electric device are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: first implementing EMC radiation test when all the components are operated; then allowing only one of functional modules to operate, implementing EMC radiation test, obtaining the radiation generated by the functional module; next allowing one of the components therein to operate, implementing EMC radiation test, obtaining the curves of electromagnetic intensity of different components respectively; through the steps mentioned above obtaining the electromagnetic field intensity curves of each functional module and components of each functional module; finally analyzing the data. The apparatus includes controlling interface module, communication interface module, central controlling module, power supply controlling module, component controlling module. With the invention not only the electromagnetic field intensity curves of overall electric device can be provided, but also can the electromagnetic radiation source be located quickly.
