A nozzle assembly for a component mounter and a method for eliminating static electricity are provided to prevent damage due to the static electricity by eliminating the static electricity inside a printed circuit board when spouting the air by a positive pressure. In a nozzle assembly for a component mounter, an air path(31) is formed inside a nozzle spindle(1). A positive/negative pressure air supply unit(60) controls a supply of a positive pressure air or a negative pressure air to the air path(31) of the nozzle spindle(1). An air ionizing device(50) is placed between the positive/negative pressure air supply unit(60) and the nozzle spindle(1).
