<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve downsizing and cost reduction of a device while improving user's convenience. <P>SOLUTION: The DVD player 1 of a DVD play-back system comprises: two or more connectors 16a to 16f to which a loudspeaker can be connected; D-A converters 12 to 14 which produce an analog audio signal from an inputted digital audio signal and outputs the analog audio signal to the connectors 16a to 16f; switches 19 which are provided to individual connectors 16a to 16f and detect whether or not the plugs 41 of a cable 40 are connected to the connectors 16a to 16f; and a control circuit 11 which produces digital audio signals of the characteristics corresponding to the positions or the number of the connectors 16a to 16f of which the connections to the plugs 41 are detected by these switches, and which outputs the digital audio signals to the corresponding D-A converters 12 to 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
