PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make spurious small, to be away from a target frequency and to make impedance low. SOLUTION: A surface acoustic wave element piece 10 is provided with an input side IDT (interdigital transducer) 14 and an output side IDT 16 in the propagation direction of a surface acoustic wave of a piezoelectric board 12. Electrode fingers 26, 28, 30 and 32 of the respective IDTs 14 and 16 are formed foldedly between a plurality of straight line parts perpendicular to the propagation direction of the surface acoustic wave and respective straight line parts and have a connection part that connects the respective straight line parts to each other. In the surface acoustic wave element piece 10, logarithms of electrode fingers are different between the input side IDT 14 and the output side IDT 16 in tracks 38 and 40 composed of straight lines corresponding to the input side IDT 14 and the output side IDT 16.
