PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator which is easily handled and can be made small, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A first recessed space exists on the front principal plane of each second insulative base A on a sheet-shaped substrate on which many first insulative bases B being wasteful parts and the second insulative bases A being bottoms of crystal oscillators are continuously formed vertically and horizontally, an almost rectangular integrated circuit element including an oscillation circuit and an electronic part element are mounted on the front principal plane of the second insulative base A in the first space, a first connection electrode for conducting the integrated circuit element, the electronic part elements and crystal vibration elements exist at four corners of the top face of the first space of a second insulative base 1, second spaces housing the crystal vibration element with second connection electrodes connected to the first connection electrode with metal paste exist at four corners of the rear face of a second recessed space of the top of the first space, and in a hermetically sealed crystal oscillator with a lid mounted to an upper edge on the opening of the second space, the circumferential side face of the first connection electrode connection parts on the top face of the first space part conencted to the second connection electrodes of the rear face of the second space is covered with resin.
