PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing device with a sensor capable of detecting a load acting on a rolling bearing without installing sensors at a plurality of positions. SOLUTION: A sensor device 2 comprises an external conducting means 9 connecting a fixed side raceway member 3 to a rotating side raceway member 4 on the outside of a hub unit 1, a measuring means 10 installed in the external conducting means 9 and providing the resistance value of a closed circuit comprising the external conducting means 9, the fixed side raceway member 3, balls 5, and the rotating side raceway member 4, and a processing means providing a lateral G acting on the hub unit 1 as a rolling bearing by using an output from the measuring means 10. In the sensor device 2, the lateral G acting on the hub unit 1 is provided by utilizing such an event that the contact area of rolling elements is varied according to a variation in the lateral G acting on the hub unit 1 and the resistance value of the closed circuit is varied.
