PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor capable of retaining a temporary assembly condition where a ball coupling is assembled as one unit and being handled easily in a manufacturing line. SOLUTION: The scroll type compressor which consists of a fixed scroll 3 and a turning scroll 11 is provided with the ball coupling 20 preventing rotation of the turning scroll 11. The ball coupling 20 consists of a pair of couplings 21, 22 and balls 23 rollably provided therebetween. A cover member 24 retaining the couplings 21, 22 and the balls 23 under assembly condition is attached to the ball coupling 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
