PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem on the position of a guide when two working units are individually moved in parallel with a screen in a space formed between a circuit board and the screen in the state wherein the circuit board and the screen are separated vertically to the screen. SOLUTION: A guide rail 254 for a cleaning device is installed vertically to a substrate transfer direction above a space formed between the circuit board 50 held by a substrate holding device and the screen 204 held by a screen holding device are separated vertically to the screen 204, and a guide rail 296 for an image pickup device is provided below in parallel with the substrate transfer direction. Thereby, a cleaning device retreat region 256 can be provided in the front and rear parts of a screen printing machine, and an image pickup device retreat region 298 can be provided both ends in the width direction.
