PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for shortening treatment time using an apparatus for radiating a charged particle beam, such as protons, carbon ions or the like. SOLUTION: A ridge filter or a range modulation wheel (RMW) is molded in a corresponding form, and radiation of beam to the RMW is subjected to ON/OFF control or a beam current to the RMW is controlled. Alternatively, intensity modulation control is carried out or a beam is radiated using the scanning method. By doing so, a plurality of spread-out Bragg peaks having same or different doses are formed within a patient 5 or a spread-out Bragg peak having different doses depending on parts is formed.
