<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst body including catalyst-carrying oxide particles deposited on a porous substrate, the catalyst body in which the quantity of a catalyst component to be consumed is reduced by improving the efficiency of the catalyst component to utilize reaction. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst body is provided with the porous substrate 10, a first coat layer 21 and a second coat layer 22 which are composed of oxide particles and successively layered on the surface of the porous substrate 10 and the catalyst component 30 disposed on the second coat layer 22, wherein particle size of the oxide particles constituting the first coat layer 21 is larger than particle size of the oxide particles constituting the second coat layer 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
