<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain inkjet ink that provides even plain paper with excellent print density and gloss and has excellent reliability of ink preservability, clogging recovery, continuous print stability, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The water-based ink comprises a water-insoluble vinyl polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer composition containing a monomer insoluble in water and soluble in a water-soluble organic solvent, pigment and a water-soluble organic solvent.
