PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly useful navigation device for more accurately finding necessary time even if a road on which accurate traffic jam information is not obtained is included in a route to a destination. SOLUTION: This navigation device for performing route guidance from a place of departure to a destination based on previously provided road map data, is provided with a traffic information reception part for receiving prescribed traffic information from the exterior and a traffic jam degree estimation part for estimating the degree of traffic jam on an uncovered link not covered by traffic information provision. The estimation part is structured so that the degree of traffic jam on the uncovered link is estimated based on the degree of traffic jam on a covered link covered by traffic information provision and existing within a prescribed area including the uncovered link.
