PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a photosensitive lithographic printing plate that maintains development stability of a liquid developer and also solves problems relating to a rise in cost due to more consumption of replenisher liquid, an increase in amount of waste liquid, etc., at the same time, decreases the number of sheets of loss paper during printing, and reduces ink staining of a non-image part. SOLUTION: The processing method for the photosensitive lithographic printing paper is characterized in that when the photosensitive lithographic printing paper having a photosensitive layer formed on a photosensitive resin composition on an aluminum base is developed by an automatic developing machine equipped with a development section equipped with a liquid developer tank wherein the photosensitive lithographic printing plate is dipped after being exposed and a washing section, gas of 0 to 0.015 vol% in carbon dioxide density is blown to the photosensitive lithographic printing plate being passed in the automatic developing machine.
