PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing boron-doped double-wall carbon nanotubes (DWNT), by which the size of the double-wall carbon nanotubes can be controlled. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the boron-doped double-wall carbon nanotubes comprises mixing double-wall carbon nanotubes and boron element, and substituting carbon atoms on the six-membered rings of the double-wall carbon nanotubes with boron atoms and at the same time, fusing adjacent double-wall carbon nanotubes to form double-wall tube structures each having a larger diameter by subjecting the resulting mixture to a heat treatment in a heating furnace of an inert gas atmosphere.
