PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device giving priority to image quality by suppressing color tone variation when a rolling up device is used, which occurs when a recording medium is rolled up before an ink is fixed after printing, in a large-sized printer equipped with the rolling up device, . SOLUTION: The large-sized printer comprises a plurality of recording heads equipped with a plurality of ink discharging ports, and records an image by scanning the recording heads a plurality of times to a printing medium 13. In the large-sized printer, when the rolling up device is used, the fact is detected, and the printing mode is switched to one in which the ink discharging amount or the carriage speed and so forth are different at the time of one scanning.
