PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress excess water discharged out of a pump from becoming hot and prevent breakage of the pump and boiling of washing water in a spray washing apparatus. SOLUTION: The spray washing apparatus is a type in which a portion or entire amount of excess water discharged out of a pump 7 is turned back to a washing water tank 2 through a return pipe 10 via an un-loader valve 11. In the spray washing apparatus, a partitioning wall 3 is installed in the washing water tank 2 for dividing the tank 2 into two chambers and an end of the return pipe 10 is set in one chamber of the washing water tank 2 and an end of a suction pipe 6 of the pump 7 is set in the other chamber.
