[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A protein is produced by carrying out the translation of mRNA encoding a desired protein in the cell-free protein translation system containing a cell extract solution derived from a hyperthermophile under a high temperature condition. A protein is produced by carrying out the transcription and translation of a plasmid encoding a desired protein in the cell-free protein transcription/translation system containing a cell extract solution from a hyperthermophile under a high temperature condition.</p>
