<p>A fan control device (4) for controlling the direction and speed of rotation of a fan (3) controls the fan so that, when the amount of accumulation of dust in a disc device interior (A) is greater than a predetermined level, the fan (3) is rotated in the direction where air is sucked from the disc device exterior (B) to the disc drive device interior (A) at a rotation speed higher than that in discharging. The dust accumulated in the disc device interior (A) moves with an airflow in the disc device interior (A) produced by the fan (3), and when the direction of rotation of the fan (3) is the direction to suck air into the disc device interior (A), the dust is discharged to the disc device exterior (B) via communication holes (24, 25).</p> |
