<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, provided with a paper dust removing mechanism for removing paper dust deposited around a carrying part by a recording medium carried in a non-recorded state by adjusting an interval between a recording part and the carrying part for preventing paper dust stored around the carrying part due to the recording medium of large width size from getting in contact with a recording head. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is provided with the recording head 12 for discharging ink toward the recording medium 2 for forming an image, and the carrying part 5 disposed to face the recording head 12 that is movable in a Z-axis direction not to get in contact with the recording head 12 in carrying paper dust stored upstream as the paper dust removing mechanism for removing paper dust stored by the recording medium 2 carried in the non-recorded state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
