<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a lithographic printing plate which enables prevention of a flaw derived from a small piece of AL, without breaking a uniform shape of indentations transferred onto the surface of an aluminum plate by a roll having a roughened surface. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, the aluminum plate 30 which has, on the surface, minute protuberances and the indentations having an arithmetic mean roughness Ra of 0.5-1.0 μm is subjected to a preliminary processing wherein at least the minute protuberances are removed partially or wholly and wherein the arithmetic mean roughness R<SB>a</SB>of the indentations is reduced and to an electrochemical surface-roughening treatment, in this sequence.
