<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a syringe pump capable of discharging a minute amount of liquid highly precisely at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The syringe pump 1 is provided with a syringe 2, a piston 3 and a moving device of the piston 3. The moving device is provided with a driving rod 70 which is allowed to advance and retreat by expansion and contraction of a piezoelectric element 72, a guide rod parallel to the driving rod 70, a unidirectional clutch member 8 and a declutching means 10. When the driving rod 70 moves in a first direction, a ball 86 of the unidirectional clutch member 8 is brought into pressurized contact with the driving rod 70 and a ring member 82 to lock the unidirectional clutch member 8, and the unidirectional clutch member 8, a pipe 9 and the piston 3 are also moved to deliver liquid. When the driving rod 70 moves in a second direction, the unidirectional clutch member 8 is locked for a guide rod by the ball 86 of the unidirectional clutch member 8 and the movement of the unidirectional clutch member 8 is inhibited. Owing to the expansion and contraction of a piezoelectric element 72, the piston 3 can be moved accurately by a minute quantity in the delivery direction and a minute amount of liquid can be discharged highly precisely at a high speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
