<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back light unit which can be made small-sized (into thin-film constitution) and low-cost by making the constitution simpler without lowering optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The back light unit 10 applied to a liquid crystal display device is equipped with a light source 23, a diffusion plate 25 which receives and diffuse the light from the light source 23 from an incidence surface to project the received light as diffused light from a projection surface as a non-incidence surface, and a lens sheet 12 which has a plurality of lenses 16 arranged on one surface of a transparent base material 14 and a plurality of light reflecting materials 18 arranged on the other surface of the transparent base material 14 not at positions opposed to respective lens vertexes of the plurality of lenses 16 across the transparent base material 14, and also has the surface side, where the light reflecting materials 18 are arranged, arranged on the projection surface side of the diffusion plate 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
