摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in frame rate by simultaneously displaying ultrasound tomographic images and high-resolution optical tomographic images. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic transducer 81 and an irradiation means 82 are formed in an integrated fashion at the end of a probe 2. Ultrasound tomographic images are generated by ultrasonic waves transmitted by the ultrasonic transducer 81 and optical tomographic images are generated by using interference light of the light emitted from the irradiation means 82. In this case, a region of interest is set in a limited area of the ultrasound tomographic image and the ultrasound tomographic image and the optical tomographic image only in the region of interest are simultaneously displayed on a screen of a monitoring device 3. Also, in the case of the TD-OCT system, the probe 2 is rotated at a speed which allows OCT scanning in the set region of interest and the probe 2 is rotated at a speed which allows ultrasonic scanning in the rest of the region.
