PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide module capable of exhibiting excellent high-frequency characteristics. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide module includes: a metallic package which has a bottom and a chip insertion groove formed on the bottom; a waveguide chip which includes a substrate having electrooptical effects, an optical waveguide formed on the substrate, a signal electrode having first and second bent portions formed in relation with the optical waveguide, and a ground electrode forme don the substrate and is inserted and fixed in the chip insertion groove of the metallic package; and first and second ribbons which connect the ground electrode to the metallic package nearby the first and second bent portions of the signal electrode, respectively.
