PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a vehicle decelerates immediately after an acceleration to repeat acceleration and deceleration since conventional automatic speed change control through the depression of an accelerator pedal is carried out under the same accelerating condition irrespective of the size of a travelling load. SOLUTION: A speed change control device is equipped with a means for judging whether or not travelling load of a travelling vehicle is a specified value or bigger, drives actuators (5A, 5B) for speed change in synchronization with the accelerator pedal (1) depressing operation or the increase of the travelling load, shift a speed change position of the transmission (3b), and includes a delay means for delaying output of an acceleration command signal with respect to the time of normal travelling load when the travelling load is judged to be big in the case of outputting an acceleration command signal, whereby indiscriminate repetition of acceleration and deceleration is avoided.
