PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless power tool using a lithium cell, preventing overdischarge of the lithium cell and restraining generation of heat in a FET inserted in a current passage including the cell and a motor. SOLUTION: This cordless power tool includes: a DC motor to which a driving current is supplied from the battery cell formed of the lithium battery cell through the FET; a voltage detecting means for detecting the voltage of the battery cell; and a control means for turning off the FET when the voltage of the battery cell reaches a predetermined value or less, wherein an air passage for guiding air from the battery pack through the interior of a housing of a handle part to the outside of the housing is formed by a fan provided in the DC motor, and the FET is disposed in the air passage.
