PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement state retaining device by which resistance that a moving object receives is made lower, and stabilization of an orbit of the moving object is attained. SOLUTION: In a main body portion 1, submagnets 3, 4 are provided at both sides of a main magnet 2, and a tip magnet 5 is provided at one end of the submagnet 3, while a tip magnet 6 is provided at one end of the submagnet 4. Magnetic force of the main magnet 2 is the strongest, that of the submagnets 3, 4 are ranked next to this, and that of the tip magnets 5, 6 is the weakest. In the tip magnets 5, 6 which are the hemispherical magnets, magnetic volume becomes smaller toward tip sides. A suction portion 7 is provided at the tip side of the tip magnet 5, and a suction portion 8 is provided at the tip side of the tip magnet 6. In the submagnets 3, 4 and the tip magnets 5, 6, those made by magnetizing a magnetic material not magnetized are acceptable. A local suction portion can be formed within a repulsion area by the submagnet 3 and the tip magnet 5, while a local repulsion portion can be formed within a suction area by the submagnet 4 and the tip magnet 6.
