PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of demodulating a desired signal with high sensitivity and reducing an influence of a jamming signal, and to provide a control method thereof, a communication controller and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The receiver 10 includes an amplification part 20 which amplifies a received signal including the desired signal and the jamming signal, a receiving intensity detection part 30 which detects a receiving intensity level of the desired signal amplified by the amplification part 20 and a demodulation part 40 which generates a demodulation signal formed by demodulating the received signal amplified by the amplification part 20. The receiver 10 adjusts gain of the amplification part 20 on the basis of the receiving intensity level and a judgment result obtained by judging quality of the demodulation signal based on a reference signal.
