PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology, capable of preventing a volume of an imaging section from being increased and normally stopping processing in the body section, when noise has infiltrated a signal, from the imaging section. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus provided with the imaging section 101 for imaging an object and the body section 102 for processing a signal transmitted from the imaging section 101, where the imaging section 101 and the body section 102 are separately configured, includes a connector section 110 for interconnecting the imaging section 101 and the body section 102, and a detection section 111 for detecting changes in the signal from the imaging section 101, and a CPU 113 carries out disconnection of the imaging section 101 by the body section 102 according to the result of the detection by the detection section 111.
