PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear structure capable of effectively reinforcing a shock absorber mounting part and a bump stopper part respectively to enhance the strength and the rigidity, and preventing the occurrence of a problem of separation at spot points to couple a side frame with a floor panel 7 and a rear wheel housing 1 when a bumper stopper rubber is abutted on a bump stopper panel. SOLUTION: In the vehicle body rear structure having a shock absorber mounting partαand a bump stopper partβon an outer side of a peripheral side wall of the rear wheel housing 1, a reinforcing member to reinforce the shock absorber mounting partα(for example, a shock absorber plate 2) is expanded, and allowed to extend to the bump stopper partβ, and the bump stopper partβis reinforced with an extension part 2a.
