<p>A data transmission device based on the universal serial bus (USB) interface for connection of a data transmission device (50) a USB-host computer (52) and a network (54), in which the data transmission device (50) includes a single chip (56) comprising a universal device (57) with serial bus (USB), a buffer store (59) and a constant bit-rate device (58), preferably a ISDN control device which receives a data packet from the buffer memory (59), the latter storing the data packet from the USB-host computer, and then transferring the data packet on to the network (54). The USB-device (57) sends a flow-control signal with a transmission-ready-bit to the USB-host computer (52) according to the capacity of the buffer store (59). A micro-control device (60) joints the single chip via a bus and controls the USB-device (57) with the serial bus.</p> |
